Top Five: Books
I’ve been asked by many people what my favorite book is. Of course, I’ve read hundreds of books in my life, so how was I to decide on just one? This is the list of the top five best books I’ve read and reread – maybe one day, you’ll read them, too!
#5: Once Upon the End -James Riley
This is one of my favorite books, and I own it. It marks the conclusion to the Half Upon a Time trilogy, and I personally think it ends well. You should definitely read it, but you’ll also have to read Half Upon a Time and Twice Upon a Time if you want to read Once Upon the End.
#4: Story Thieves: Worlds Apart -James Riley
In the fifth and probably last Story Thieves book, Owen and Bethany finally face down Nobody, but it gets really crazy: Bethany finally discovered the ability to rewrite herself, so the possibilities are literally endless! James Riley even puts himself into the book, so that adds extra humor. The Story Thieves series is a series to read.
#3: The Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey -Chris Colfer
This is another one of my favorite books. It’s the fifth in the Land of Stories series, which is probably my all-time favorite series. In this book, Connor gets to go into his stories, and it’s really fun to see what kind of things go on in his head.
#2: The Land of Stories: Beyond the Kingdoms -Chris Colfer
Again, this is a Land of Stories book. It comes right before An Author’s Odyssey, and I really like it because Alex and Connor each get thrown into different books – Alex in King Arthur, and Connor in Robin Hood – and they make lots of new friends before they get reunited.
#1: Heroes of Keroine: the Ring of Five -Draco Regina
Okay, so who doesn’t like reading their own book? It’s not finished, but the Ring of Five is the first book in my Heroes of Keroine series. Oh, and Draco Regina isn’t actually my name – it means ‘dragon queen’ in Latin and works as the pen name I use for all my works of writing, be it original or fanfiction. When I finish writing it, you should really read it. (chapters seven and ten are my favorite! ;D )
So those are my favorite books, even if number one didn’t count. I hope you can read them all someday; that’s why I listed them! Just don’t be disappointed if you don’t enjoy them as much as I did – I like books about other books, so all of them (except for the Ring of Five, for whatever reason) include characters that come from fairy tales or other stories. Thanks for reading, and look out for more Top Five posts!
