If I could live anywhere, I don’t think it would be in this world. My ideal home probably isn’t possible. I’d like to live where it snows, but also on a beach by a large body of water. The most important part of my dream place to live, though, would be the house. Since the perfect place for me to live doesn’t exist to my knowledge, I’ll create the perfect environment.

A quintessential environment for me to live in would be on the edge of a sandy beach. A clear blue body of water would be within sight of my house. The sky would always have the perfect amount of fluffy clouds, and would be a constant bright turquoise color. On occasion, it would snow. The whole place would be called Regina Manor, since my pen name is Draco Regina – the Latin words for dragon queen.

My house would be hanging off the cliff at the back of the beach. It would have lots of domes and windows, since bright and open spaces are pleasing to the eye. The house would look sort of like a castle, with one main section and four towers. One domed tower would contain be my bedroom, with a spiral staircase circling the perimeter. At intervals, a ledge covering half the width of the tower would be placed, and these would be the separate areas of my room: bedroom, library, closet… and view. The view room would be at the top of the tower under the glass domed roof, and would overlook the ocean. The rest of the towers would be similar, except with different things on the floors. The main part of the house would be completely open, with a living room facing the ocean. A set of stairs would lead down the side of the cliff to the beach, where I could swim and relax.

All in all, if I could live anywhere, it would be in an alternate universe. I’d live off a cliff on a beach that snows. The sky would always be blue. I’d live in a mansion with pleasure gardens that have water and rocks instead of flowers. Everything together would be called Regina Manor. That’s where I’d live, if I could live anywhere.

NOTE: I actually have created this place in my head before. It’s located on the island of Keroine, which is far larger than you might think. The characters in my book live on the other side of the island, which contains a majority of Keroine’s cities and villages: Keroine City, the capital; Marane, the small village Tip grew up in; and Taramath, the mountain Master Yen lives on.
